The new law changes everything about grey machines. Grey machines will become illegal and new video gaming terminals (VGT’s) are the only kind of machines allowed in liquor pouring establishments and certain truck stop locations. Some important changes are:

  1. Manufacturer

  1. Distributor

  1. Terminal Operator

ONLY ONE LICENSE TYPE MAY BE HELD!


  • Establishments include:


  1. Licensed Establishment

  1. Licensed Fraternal Establishment

  1. Licensed Veterans Establishment

  1. Licensed Truck Stop

  • Terminals linked real time to the Illinois Gaming Board central monitoring and accounting system.

 

  • Only a licensed terminal operator may own, operate and lease machines to liquor pouring establishments and truck stops

 

  • Stringent Regulation and Controls for day to day operations.

 

  • 30% Gaming Tax to State and local municipality on net win.

 

  • By law the remaining 70% is split 50/50 between location and terminal operator.

 

  • Las Vegas style games with a $500 top award limit.
