Michael J. Van Treeck
With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality business Michael applies in-depth knowledge creating and analyzing financial statements, food, beverage and labor costs, capital budgets, income statements, cash flows, break even analysis, demographic studies and sales and financial projections.
Trained as a chef and with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from UW-Stout Michael managed premier country/golf clubs on the North Shore of Chicago. During his 15 year career in the club business, and over 300 hours of continuing education, he has renovated and was general contractor on multiple projects; one club renovation being signaled out by Club Management Magazine as one of the best renovations of a small property in the year 2000.
He has put together award winning wine programs and has created and wrote and directed employee training manuals, job descriptions and employer manuals. Michael also opened an innovative food delivery/web based business from concept.
In addition, Michael has also over 12 years of retail management experience and has been contracted as a Financial Analysis with Cargill Investor Service, Refco and RJO’Brien.
